This is the first-year final report of a three-years project. Three main tasks as seen successfully conducted: (1) constructed the rationale of the software based on relevant career development theories; (2) identified the data range and items of database by means of investigating the career needs of 639 high school students and 101 university students; (3) compiled a software program named UMIS and finished simulated testing.
