For kindergarten-grades 2, this battery which is one of the whole series of the School College Tests, contains three distinct subtests: comprebension (general information) picture vocabulary and size and number. These short subtests measure verbal and Quantitative skills important in assessing readiness for school work. The Battery is standardized on a sample of 279 children from 19 kindergartens and 20 primary schools. Both types of norms are provided: age norm are reported in term of raw score conversion to deviation IQ´o, grade norms to percentile rank. Age and grade norms each have distinctive uses. Age norms are useful when counseling an individsal child. Grade norms, on the other hand, are more useful when planning immediate instructional activities. Both reliability and validity of this battery are found very satisfactory.
